आदिम जाति मीणा विकास संघ मुंबई का वार्षिक सांस्कृतिक समारोह दिनांक 17.02.2013


Adim Jati Meena Vikas Association Mumbai has organized an annual get- together cum cultural function on 17th February 2013 at Sai Palace Hotel & Garden, Western Express Highway, and Meera Road Mumbai.

Cultural programme  had begin with lightning of lamp by Shri R N Meena Deputy speaker and other dignitaries of the function which followed by dashing  performance by Laughter Queen Ms. Bharti Singh,  and Shri Kapil Sharma, Laughter king of laughter fame television artiste who have gave their live performance of dance / jokes which was enjoyed and overwhelmed by the audience. In house talent Mrs. Rekha Meena w/o Ramkhiladi Meena, OS Central Railway, Ms. Rekha and Ms. Seema Meena D/o Rameshwar Meena Guard, Railway also performed dance.

The chief guest for the function was Dr. Vijay Kumar Gavit, Minister of Medical Health Education and Horticulture, Govt. of Maharashtra; the function was presided over by Shri R N Meena, Deputy Speaker of Rajasthan State Legislative Assembly. Shri Tara Ram Mehna, National President of BAMCEF (Backward And Minority Communities Employees Federation) was the Special Guest of the function. Shri B. C. Meena, Accountant Member of Income-tax Tribunal New Delhi, Shri B P. Meena Commissioner of Income-tax -2 Jaipur and Shri Subachan Ram Commissioner of Income-tax, Mumbai & National Convener of BAMCEF was the guest of honor for the occasion.  The guests were welcomed and honored by applying Tilak, offering traditional Rajasthani turban, flowers and by presenting mementoes to each of them.

Shri O P Meena, Commissioner of Income-tax and President of Adim Jati Meena Vikas Association, Mumbai has welcomed the chief guest, president of function, special guest and guest of Honors of the function.  In his welcome address, Shri O P Meena, stated that the AJMVA was established in 1985. AJMVA is registered as charitable trust under Bombay Public Trust Act 1950 and also as charitable trust u/s 12A of Income-Tax Act, 1961. The donations to trust are exempt u/s. 80G of the Income-Tax Act, 1961. The trust has more than 600 members all over the Mumbai. The object of trust is serving the poor and backward society and caters the need of downtrodden people of any community or caste. The Association provides economic help to needy students for books, school uniforms, and medical and to provide computer education. The aim of association is also to create social awareness among the members and eradicate evil social customs.

Samman Patras and Medals were awarded to 18 students who scored more than 80 marks in Board/ CBSE exam or on selection in AAA, IIT, CPMT, Management course.

The trust is in need of land for multiple utility of members and society like holding meeting and get-together and social function etc. Shri O P Meena President of AJMVA made a request to hon'ble Chief Guest to provide all possible help for allotment of Government land to Association. 

Dr. Vijay Kumar Gavit Minister of Medical Health Education and Horticulture has praised the Meena`s as good and efficient officer with whom he had worked. He also said that he will do his best in support of demand of allotment of land to trust. Shri R N Meena, Deputy Speaker, expressed that it is need of hour that all Meena politician should unite themselves and fight the cause of Schedule Tribe. Shri Tara Ram Mehna Special guest said that reservation to Scheduled caste/ Tribe is not a gift of God but the tired less effort put by our leaders namely Jyotibha Fhule and Baba Sahib Bhimrao Ambedkar. Other guests of honor have also expressed their views.   

The function was ended with vote of thanks extended by Shri R L Meena, Chief Engineering Railway, and General Secretary of AJMVA with invitation to join for lunch.
